The focus of English 1 is to learn how to
become more effective communicators through formal and informal writing
and speaking. The structure
of the language and the structure of fiction is the primary focus for
the 1st semester.

Students are currently reading the novel, “Watership Down.”
With the thematic ideas from this novel, students will work on
different projects.

Cameron
Ceradsky
has taught at
Alcott
Academy
since 1999. He is the
Freshman English Instructor and enjoys teaching his students Grammar,
Literature, and Writing Skills. Mr.
Ceradsky writes stories, reads fiction and creates artwork in his free
time. His work has
been seen in
Wichita
State
University
publications, 1Wrestling.com, City Arts and on the SPI Official Website.
He is currently working towards an MFA in Creative Writing.
